They have to make 30 laps of the circuit to cover a total of 113 kms. 719 metres. A hand struggle takes place between the British Surtees, world Champion, and the Italian ace Carlo Bandirola. After lap no. 27 the English John Grace, the Spaniard. Francisco Gonzalez and the Austrian Klinger are on the lead but it is John Surtes who first crosses the goal accomplishing the total race in one hour three minutes four and 2/10ths seconds, and is awarded the Spanish Motor rand Prix...in the side car test 13 engines participate. The competition consists of 20 laps of the circuit with a total of 75Kms. 823 metres.
